When Should you visit Disney World?
|
Disney's Seasons are: |
Value Season: 1/1-2/15; 8/27-10/4 |
Regular Season: 4/23-8/26; 10/5-11/25 |
Peak Season: 2/16-4/22 |
Holiday Season: 12/20-12/31 |
Avoid Disney World at these times: |
December 22-31- as you can imagine this is the busiest time of year and you will pay the most to stay at Disney during this time frame. |
Spring Break - this can be tricky (everyone has spring break at a different time), however, a good rule of thumb is 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after Easter. This is a miserable time to be at Disney World. The crowds are huge, lines are unbearable and it is also very expensive to stay here. |
June & Early July - very hot does not even begin to describe Disney World this time of the year. The crowds are unbearable during this time as well. |
Holidays - in general anytime there is a holiday is a busy time at Disney World. We avoid President's Day (February) and Thanksgiving weekend are big holidays that people might not thinks would be busy. |
The Best Times to visit Disney World: |
Between Thanksgiving and Christmas - the weather is nice (you will need a jacket but pleasant) and there is a calm before the holiday "storm". |
January to the middle of February - this the time frame we like to go at. There are disadvantages it can be very cold in Orlando, Florida this time of the year, some rides may be closed for refurbishment and it is too cold to swim. However, this is a great time to save money. Prices are the lowest and there are hardly any crowds. |
May - (my mother's favorite time to visit Disney) Wonderful weather!!! There are hardly any crowds and the prices are reasonable. |
Fall - September is a great month to visit Disney World. However, the heat is still unbearable but the lines are short and you can visit the water parks to take a break from the heat. The prices on the resorts are great! |
